Scope of Services
The Company acts as an agent on behalf of the Customer to arrange transportation and associated logistics services through third-party carriers, airlines, shipping lines, and service providers. All services are subject to availability, operational feasibility, and compliance with applicable laws and regulations of the UAE and the destination country.
Quotations & Charges
Quotations are issued based on details provided by the Customer, such as weight, volume, dimensions, commodity, and destination. Any changes to these details may result in revised charges. Unless otherwise specified in writing, rates exclude customs duties, VAT, taxes, port charges, and third-party costs. Surcharges, including but not limited to fuel adjustments, security charges, and government-imposed fees, may apply.
Customer Responsibilities
The Customer must provide accurate, complete, and legally compliant documentation for all shipments. The Customer is responsible for proper packaging, marking, and labeling of goods. The Customer shall not ship prohibited or restricted items without prior approval. Any fines, penalties, storage charges, or additional costs arising from misdeclaration, incorrect documentation, restricted goods, or regulatory violations shall be borne solely by the Customer.
Liability
The Company operates as an agent and its liability is strictly limited to the amount recoverable from the actual carrier, airline, shipping line, or third-party service provider engaged. The Company shall not be liable for delays, losses, or damages caused by force majeure, customs inspections, strikes, acts of government, war, natural disasters, or other circumstances beyond its control. Insurance coverage is not included unless specifically requested by the Customer in writing and confirmed by the Company.
Customs Clearance
The Company arranges customs clearance based on documents and declarations provided by the Customer. The Company is not responsible for penalties, delays, or rejections caused by inaccurate or incomplete documentation. Any additional fees due to customs examinations, re-inspections, or amendments shall be charged to the Customer.
Claims & Complaints
Claims for loss, shortage, or damage must be submitted in writing within 7 calendar days of delivery. No claims shall be entertained where insurance was not arranged through the Company. Supporting documents, including delivery notes, photographs, and invoices, must accompany all claims.
Governing Law & Jurisdiction
These Terms & Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United Arab Emirates. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of Dubai, UAE.
Amendments
MoveX Logistics FZCO reserves the right to amend or update these Terms & Conditions at any time without prior notice. The most recent version shall always be applicable and binding.
